Our Story

IT STARTED ON THE RUNWAY

Why we built this

We started with a fashion show a night to celebrate African and Caribbean design and the people behind it. But a night ends. The designers, the artists, the business owners we brought together were still building year-round, and their customers were still out there looking for them.

So we made a place for them to meet. Shop Afro-Carib is a curated room where our sellers set up, meet their customers face to face, and sell on their own terms right before the holidays, when it matters most. It's the part online shopping can't give you: the person behind the piece, the story in their own words, the feel of it in your hands before it's yours.

For our sellers, it's real sales, real feedback, and a wider circle walking out than walking in.

For our community, it's a chance to spend the holiday dollar on our own and keep it close to home. That's the whole point: not just a transaction, but a gathering that gives back to everyone in the room.
